The Council Gardens Of Isandl’wana
“The garden was a fever dream. It was everything she wanted from life.”
“The screams. And then the deafening silence.”
The gardens were a sight to behold. They stretched on for acres, with every type of flower and plant imaginable. The colors were so vibrant they almost hurt your eyes.
But there was something off about the gardens. Something that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. It was as if the plants were alive, waiting to snatch you up into their grasp.
And then you heard it. The screams. Coming from all around you, echoing through the garden paths. You tried to run, but the plants seemed to be in front of you at every turn, blocking your way.
And then it was silent again. Dead silent. You waited for the screams to start up again, but they never did. Just silence and the sound of your own breath ringing in your ears.
You started to make your way out of the gardens when you heard it again- this time closer than before. A low hissing noise that sent shivers down your spine. You looked around but couldn't see where it was coming from... until you saw them-the eyes glowing in the darkness....
