Mödek, The Third Holy Temple

“Do not fear sudden danger, or the ruin that overtakes the wicked”

“Do not withhold good from the deserving, when it is within your power to act”

The Third Holy Temple was a place of great mystery, and many tales were told of the things that happened within its walls. It was said that those who entered never left again, that dark powers dwelt there, and that terrible secrets were hidden away in its depths.

No one knew for sure what lay inside the temple, but everyone was certain that it was not good. The priests who guarded the entrance would never allow anyone to enter, and no one had ever seen what lay beyond the door.

But one day, a group of adventurers decided to break into the temple and find out for themselves what lies within. They approached the door quietly and prepared to fight whatever creatures awaited them inside. But when they opened the door, they found nothing but darkness.

They walked into the temple cautiously, their swords drawn and their senses alert for any sign of danger. But there was nothing there - only silence and darkness. They searched every corner of the temple but could find no trace of anything alive or dangerous.

At first they were relieved, but then they began to feel uneasy. What if there really were dangers lurking in the shadows? What if they were just waiting for them to let down their guard before striking?

Finally, one of them stepped forward into the darkness and called out softly: "Is anyone here?" There was no answer. He called out again, louder this time, but still there was no response. The adventurers began to feel even more uneasy now - what if something had happened to the priests who normally guarded the temple? What if some dark power had taken over?

They started to back away from the darkness, but then something moved in the corner of their eye. They turned quickly towards it, but there was nothing there except for an old statue sitting on a pedestal in a darkened corner. The adventurers stared at it for a moment before turning away again - maybe it was just their imagination playing tricks on them...
