N’trebk is the last city of its kind. A guild city, where all the trades and professions are represented. It is a thriving metropolis, and a center of learning and culture. But it is also a city in decline. The younger generations no longer see the value in the old ways. They are drawn to the bright lights of the big cities, and abandon their homes for lives of ease and luxury.

The elders of N’trebk know that if this trend continues, the city will eventually die. But they don’t know what to do about it. They have tried everything they can think of, but nothing has worked.

One night, an elder has a vision. He sees a young man who is not from N’trebk, but he has been chosen by fate to save the city. The elder knows he must find this young man and bring him to N’trebk.

When he finally locates him, the young man is reluctant to leave his life in the city for a life in a dying town full of old people. But eventually he agrees to come with the elder, and when he arrives in N’trebk he is surprised at how different it is from what he expected. He soon realizes that this is his destiny, and that he must help save the city from its downward spiral.
