The Breach At Khünlu’un
“She does not consider the path of life. She does not know that her ways are unstable.”
“Concede your vigor to others, and your years to one who is cruel”
She does not consider the path of life. She does not know that her ways are unstable. Concede your vigor to others, and your years to one who is cruel.
These words echo in her mind as she makes her way down the dark hallway. She has no idea what awaits her at the end, but she knows she must find out. As she reaches the end of the hall, she steps into a large chamber. In the center of the room is a breach – a rip in the fabric of reality itself. And standing next to it is a figure shrouded in darkness.
The figure speaks, and its voice sends shivers down her spine. “Give me your strength,” it says, “and I will give you eternal life.” She knows that she should run away – that this is not something she should get involved with – but something inside her compels her to stay. And so she stands there and allows the figure to take her power.
As she watches, the breach starts to close up. And with it, any chance for escape disappears as well.
