I was raised in the ways of the D’ni High Priestesses. Our people have a long history of using sound judgment and discernment to guide our lives. These are the qualities that keep our souls alive.

As a child, I spent my days in the temple learning about the ancient writings and studying under the wise priestesses. They taught me how to listen to my inner voice and use it to make wise decisions.

One day, when I was just coming into my power, an event occurred that would change my life forever. A group of rebels led by a man named Veovis attacked the temple, seeking to destroy our way of life.

The battle was fierce, but we managed to hold them off. However, Veovis managed to get away with one of the Books of D’ni – a sacred text that holds all of our knowledge and history. If he were able to unlock its secrets, he could destroy us all.

The High Priestesses decided that I must go after him and stop him before it’s too late. So I set out on a journey across the ages, following his trail through worlds both familiar and strange.

Along the way, I’ve made some unlikely friends – including a young boy named Atrus who has been helping me track down Veovis. He is someone who knows more about this dark conspiracy than he is letting on… but I know I can trust him.

Finally, after many adventures, I’ve reached Veovis’ stronghold on Myst Island. This is where he plans to activate the Book and unleash its power upon the world. But even now, as death awaits me around every corner, I know what must be done….
