They are the Botmonauts. They were chosen for their skills in programming and engineering, and their ability to keep a secret. For years they trained in the isolation of space, learning how to operate the botnets that would be used to take down enemy targets.
But there was another purpose for them, a dark secret that was only revealed on the day they were deployed. Their mission was not just to destroy their enemies, but to make them fall asleep. For years scientists had been working on a way to manipulate the sleep cycle of an entire population, and now it was time for it to be put into action.
The Botmonauts took down their targets one by one, using their botnets to infect computers with malware that would cause them to fall asleep at random moments. The unsuspecting citizens of Earth had no idea what was happening as they slowly lost consciousness, unaware of the sinister plot that was unfolding before their eyes.
As more and more people succumbed to the sleepy virus, those who were still awake could only watch in horror as society collapsed around them. There was no telling who would be next as the Botmonauts continued their devious work, depriving people of slumber until someone finally fell…
