Finding Councilor Arkta’i At Toghochir
“There’s nothing here ‘cept bugs and death”
“How long have you been out here?”
The sun had long since disappeared behind the horizon, leaving only the chill of night in its wake. The vast desert wasteland stretched out before me, an unforgiving landscape that offered no shelter from the elements. I had been walking for hours, and there was still no sign of civilization.
I was starting to lose hope when I finally saw a light in the distance. As I drew closer, I realized that it was a campfire – and someone was there! Excitement surging through me, I began to run towards the fire.
As I got closer, I could see that it was a group of people…but they didn’t look friendly. In fact, they looked downright dangerous. One of them stood up and stepped forward towards me. He was tall and bald, with tattoos covering his skin. “Who are you?” he demanded gruffly.
I tried to answer, but my mouth was dry with fear. Finally, I managed to choke out: “I’m looking for Councilor Arkta’i At Toghochir. Do you know where she is?”
The man stared at me for a moment before answering gruffly: “No idea what you’re talking about. Now go away before we kill you.”
