The clerics had always been a secretive order. They dwelled in the shadows, manipulating the political landscape from behind the scenes. No one knew what they were truly up to, and that was how they liked it.
But when their arcane rituals led to the summoning of a powerful demon, they were forced into the light. The creature was too powerful for them to control, and it began slaughtering innocent people.
The clerics knew they needed help if they were going to stop the demon, so they reached out to the only people who could possibly help: the adventurers.
The adventurers fought bravely against the demon, but it was too strong for them. Just as it seemed like all was lost, one of the clerics stepped forward and used her own life force to seal away the demon forever.
When it was all over, the adventurers asked what reward they could give the cleric for her selfless act. She just smiled and said: “The stone my builders rejected has become our cornerstone. Yeki’eme, The Arc Clerics. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me.”
