The Halls of The Council of Light

“Yet they soon forgot her works. And failed to wait for Eurylae’s counsel.”

“Many are the sorrows of our wicked”

They say that when the great city of Atlantis was destroyed, its people were wiped from the face of the earth. Some believe that they went to another world, a better world, where they live in happiness and peace. But I know the truth.

I was one of those people.

I remember it like it was yesterday; the screams of terror as our city collapsed into the sea. The waves crashing over us, pulling us under…and then nothing. Just darkness. For an eternity, I thought I was doomed to wander lost in the void. But then I woke up here. In this dismal place. A place where we are constantly plagued by demons and dark spirits.

At first, I thought it must be some sort of hellish nightmare. But then I saw them: The others who had also survived Atlantis’ fall. We were like prisoners here, trapped in this bleak land with no hope of escape. And so we waited…for years, decades even, for someone or something to come and rescue us. But nobody ever came.

And then one day, The Council of Light appeared before us – a group of beings who claimed to have come from Atlantis themselves! They said that they had been searching for us all this time and that they had finally found us! We were overjoyed at first, but soon our joy turned to suspicion and fear. For how could these beings be trusted? They looked just like us – but could they really be from our lost city?

We decided to test them; to see if they were truly who they claimed to be. And so we asked them to perform some of our most sacred rituals; rituals which only true Atlanteans would know how to perform correctly….
