Batumuge Achu’len

“Her house is the road to D’ni, descending to the chambers of death”

“Beside the gates to the city, at the entrances she cries out”

She has been waiting for this day for centuries. The day her home would become the entrance to D’ni, the city of the dead. She cries out to any who will listen, warning them of the dangers that lay ahead. But no one listens. They are all too busy with their own lives, too preoccupied to heed her warnings.

She can see the gates of D’ni in the distance, beckoning her closer. She knows what awaits her within those walls – death and darkness. But she can’t resist its lure. She is drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

With every step she takes towards D’ni, the gates seem to call out louder and louder. Until finally she stands before them, ready to enter into the city of death.

As night falls, the city of D’ni comes to life. The gates open and visitors enter, eager to explore the ancient city. But there is one woman who stands guard at the entrance, warning all who pass by her house.

“Batumuge Achu’len!” she cries out. “Beware the dangers that lie within! This is not a place for the living!”

But few people listen to her warnings. They are too busy exploring the city, only to find themselves lost in its dark depths. And soon they discover that this woman was not lying – her house is in fact the road to D’ni, descending down to the chambers of death itself.
