The Jirag’ai Junta Riot Police

“Disperse or die!”

“You have one minute. Then we will open fire.”

Disperse or die! The Jirag’ai Junta Riot Police had spoken. And with that, the 60 seconds they had given us were up. We were surrounded by hundreds of riot police, all armed with automatic rifles.

They were coming for us. We could hear the footsteps pounding on the pavement, getting louder and closer with each passing second. We were outnumbered and outgunned, surrounded by a horde of Jirag’ai Junta Riot Police. And they had orders to kill us all.

We didn’t stand a chance. But we weren’t going down without a fight.

I knew that we didn't stand a chance against the police. They were trained professionals, while we were just a group of civilians protesting against our government's policies. We would be slaughtered if we tried to fight back.

So I did the only thing I could do – I turned and ran away from the protest site, as fast as I could. I didn't know what would happen to the others, but I knew that I couldn't stay and risk being killed.

We drew our weapons and prepared to face our fate. Then, one minute later, we heard the order to open fire. And with that, the battle began.

There was no way out. We could either disperse and run for our lives, or we could stay and risk being shot. I looked around at my fellow protesters. Some were crying, others were trying to come up with a plan. But I just stood there, frozen in fear.
