The Meatpacking District

“There’s so many things she said during the silence”

“She just started dreaming, and it all became music”

She had always loved the Meatpacking District. It was so alive, so full of energy and motion. She could wander its streets for hours and never get bored. But tonight was different. Tonight, she started dreaming- and the dream became music. She could hear the sounds of the city all around her, as if it was a living thing that she was a part of. The clanging of metal garbage cans, the rumbling of buses, the laughter and shouting of people on the street- it all came together in a beautiful symphony inside her head.

And then she heard him. That low, throaty voice that sent shivers down her spine. He spoke to her from out of the darkness, his words laced with danger and promise. She couldn’t make out what he was saying, but she didn’t need to. She knew that she was in trouble. And that she wanted to be in even more.
