Vesalius’ Notebooks

“The answers were always right here in his notebooks”

“But nothing can ever undo what happened between them that night”

Vesalius had always been a brilliant mind. His work on the human body was unparalleled, but it was his work with the soul that would ultimately be his undoing. Eurylae was equally brilliant, and when they paired their minds together, the results were spectacular. But one night, things went too far. Vesalius couldn't shake the feeling that he had lost something in that room. Something important.

Years later, after Vesalius had fled to Neo York, he found himself working on a project that would finally put him back on top. He had been experimenting with transferring souls into different bodies, and he was getting close to a breakthrough. But he needed Eurylae's help. He knew where she was hiding, and he knew she would come if he called her name.

Eurylae arrives in Neo York just in time for Vesalius to show her his latest invention: a machine that can transfer souls into any body imaginable. They get to work immediately, but as they near completion, Eurylae starts to have second thoughts. She knows what Vesalius is capable of, and she's afraid of what might happen if this technology falls into the wrong hands.

But it's too late now; Vesalius has already tested the machine on himself. He's transferred his soul into a new body, and there's no turning back. Eurylae can only watch as Vesalius destroys everything she ever loved...including her own soul.

Vesalius had always been a cautious man. It was why he had chosen to apprentice under Eurylae, even though the older sorcerer often drove those around him mad with his experiments. But Vesalius knew that Eurylae's theories about inter-realm travel were sound, and when the wizard finally succeeded in opening a portal to another realm, Vesalius was the first to volunteer to cross over.

What he found on the other side was a world of shadows and monsters - a place where death could come at any moment. But Vesalius was determined to find a way back home, no matter what the cost. He explored every corner of that dark realm, gradually piecing together the ritual needed to return to his own world.

But just as he was about to leave, Vesalius stumbled across something terrifying: The Host, creatures from another realm that could appear in ours without warning. If they found him there...he didn't want to think about it.

Vesalius knew he had to get back home quickly and warn everyone about The Host's arrival. But as he prepared to enact the ritual, he realized there was one final ingredient needed: blood from a creature of light. And so Vesalius set out into the darkness once again, searching for someone or something willing to help him save his world.
